THE E61 GROUP HEAD
The E61 group head has achieved an almost mythical status among lovers of black coffee. Invented in 1961 by Ernesto Valento for installation on the machine that bears its name, this group head is still widely used today and remains just as revolutionary as when it was introduced in 1961. With 4 kg of brass giving it impressive thermal inertia, the E61 group head’s temperature stability is unbeatable. The group’s thermosiphon system continuously circulates water to maintain the proper temperature.
Finally, the pre-infusion valve creates mechanical pre-infusion, gradually immersing the coffee in water and significantly reducing channeling compared to machines without pre-infusion.
THE ADVANTAGE OF A HEAT EXCHANGER MACHINE
The Rocket Appartamento is a single-boiler espresso machine, also known as a heat exchanger machine. This means that a smaller boiler used for brewing is housed inside one large boiler used for steam. The smaller boiler is heated by steam from the larger boiler, ensuring excellent thermal inertia, shot after shot. Compared with a dual-boiler setup, this simpler design, with a powerful 1400 W heating element, an insulated boiler, and PID control, maintains an extremely stable temperature.
IMPRESSIVE BUILD QUALITY: STEEL, STEEL, BRASS, AND MORE STEEL.
In the coffee world, the Rocket Espresso brand has become synonymous with impeccable build quality. The all-steel frame and stainless steel housing, combined with its timeless design, make Rocket Espresso machines incredibly sturdy and durable. Its dry weight of 20 kg also keeps the machine stable when you insert the portafilter into the group head. With proper maintenance, a Rocket espresso machine can last a lifetime.
